要说数数，大家都会。可是真要用英语口算1584697+354711+1020493就不是每个人都能说得顺溜的。
我们项目组曾有过一位来自印度，受过良好教育的成员Amol，他的英语非常棒。有一天，大家下班一起去啤酒馆小酌，说好各自付各自的。神侃了几个小时之后大家把钱交给Amol请他帮忙结账。 Amol很认真，结完帐回来坚持在一张纸上算清楚给每个人的零钱。就在Amol在纸上写写画画的时候，我们忽然发现他换了一种语言，我们他在说什么，Amol说自己在算算数，他刚才用的印地语。。。
不光Amol，我们很多人也是这样。为什么呢？我们已经习惯在脑海中把阿拉伯数字1、2、3、4。。。跟母语中的数字发音对应起来了。不少人在听到Six的时候，首先想到的是发音“六”，然后再联想到“6”。在这种不自觉进行中英互译的思维方式下，听、说数字的困难足以让人感到数数麻烦。
阿拉伯数字源自印度，在不同的国家，阿拉伯数字有不同的发音，比如“2”,在中文里念“二”，在英语里念“two”，在法语里念“deux”，在荷兰语里念“kaksi”…
我们看到“1”就联想到发音“一”，这是因为我们从小，还没开始学英语的时候，就已经习惯把“1”这个形状的字符念作“一”。为什么我们会把“a”念作`ei`而不是念作“啊”呢？应为我们开始学英文字母的时候，把“a”这个形状的字符发为’ei’，只有在出现汉语拼音的情况下，我们才把`a`念作“啊”
如果想用英文流利的说数字，就需要我们在英语语境中跳过中文的发音，在阿拉伯数字跟英语发音之间建立直接的联系。就像我们根据是拼音还是英语来决定如何读“a”一样。比如看到“5”这个形状的阿拉伯数字，脑子中应该反映出`faiv`的发音和five的字母组合。
这需要通过很多练习才能做到，毕竟我们把“1、2、3”念作“一、二、三”的时间比念作“ one two three”的时间多太多了。 只要建立了字符形状和发音、拼写之间的直接联系，就能流利的数数、算数了。 要想用英语流利的数数，就得先记住那些阿拉伯数字怎么念、怎么写。
在英语里面，数词被分做两类，一类叫基数词－用来表示数目的词，一类叫序数词－用来表示顺序的词。简单的说，一、二、三是基数词，第一、第二、第三是序数词。
我们总觉得中国人的老祖先进化的早，中文的数字是从”一”数到”十”，估计当我们的老祖先已经明白脚是用来站立走路的，手是用来抓握东西的时候，洋鬼子们还在四肢着地、手脚不分地乱爬呢，要不怎么撒克逊人的语言里是从`one`数到`twenty`呢？（ten个手指 + ten个脚趾）
先摆摆这些阿拉伯数字在英语里面怎么写、怎么念：

想把英文里的数字记熟，而且是摆脱中文发音的去记熟，最好是把上面的那个对照表手抄一遍，一遍不够就两遍。
抄的时候心理默念：1 `wan`，o-n-e one，f-i-r-s-t first，1`wan`th……`wan`是one的音标，有个字符打不出来，就用a代替了.

Mercury 水星
